The metagame is circular. One thing counters the main meta, which then ends up being the main meta, and then it gets countered. On and on, infinitely.
Smogon bans shit they don't particularly want to think about to centralize their idea of a metagame so they can pretend to be good... when really, they're only good at a particular set of artificial rules they self impose.
Just learn to play the game, scrub.
