>>31437866Well mainly it's because it's nice to get a Burn status in. I've managed to save my Zard Y before by inflicting Burn on an opponent that would've otherwise ohko with a rock move. I've been using it less and less though so I've been thinking about what move to replace it with.
As for X the reason I gave mine Thunder Punch was to bait out water types since I never mega evolve right off the bat. Managed to take down a bunch of Primal Kyogres in Battle Spot with it.
