If I, the player, get used to the idea of abandoning mons from one generation to the next, what reason os there for me to pay for Pokémon Home? I can just leave my mons in the past generation like with generations 1 and 2. I pay for Home so I can transfer mons around with ease.
Incidentally, this makes generations 3, 4, and 5 the best and most future proof generations. With two DS, you can play five regions starting with Kanto and transfer mons in general timeline order:
Kanto/Hoenn -> Johto/Sinnoh -> Unova/Older Unova
Oh, and you even get a national dex reward shiny Pokémon at the end of the run.
