Even if your mon successfully stalls out a Gyarados dynamax, he still set-up for Plus+3 Speed or some other insane bullshit amd you still lost.
Defensive pokemon suck against Dynamax because dynamax mons get to ATTACK and BUFF at THE SAME TIME. It's ABSURD. Even if you tank the hits, his speed and attack are still going up, rain is still going up, you're still fucked.
Look dude, I understand your argument amd I would even agree with it if shit like Gyarados Max Airstream didn't exist allowing it to STAB and Speed-up ON THE SAME TURN. If Gyarados dynamaxes, does 2 Airstreams and one Max Water it's now +2speed in the rain after attacking three turns in a row with double health. Do you not see my point here? Dynamax let's offensive mons get the benefit of two turns from one turn.
