I don't think there will be any regional fossil in Alola, if there will be some I guess we're getting a Rock/Water marine fish or dino and another Rock/Bug or Rock/Grass ancient thing form the reef, or a Rock/Grass kelpmon or something.
Regardless, for the next gen, if there will ever be one, I was thinking about 3 fossils, 2 of them being mammals for once:
>Titanoboa cerrejonensis
>Smilodon gracilis / fatalis / populator
>Megaloceros giganteus
The mammals would be 2 stages evo families while the reptile would be a 1 single stage one.
Despite the different habitats and and ages the mammals would have a prey and predator relationship while the reptile would be a third party.

A snake that is both a fossil and happens to follow the Gyarados and Milotic pattern except for the weak pre-evo would be cool I think.
