Gen 5 is my favorite generation and the Tao Trio is probably my least favorite box legendary duo/trio.

Weather Trio > Bird Duo > Creation Trio > Aura Trio > Celestial Duo > Bike Duo > Tao Trio = Dog Duo

In general, I think the new Gen 5 Pokemon are better than those in Gens 4, 6, 7, and 8 while being worse than 2, 3, 9, and especially 1. However, the legendaries and starters are DOGSHIT and I never use them when I do my yearly replay of B/W/B2/W2.

I think it's got too much anti-fun shit. Like you said, Serperior is anti-fun in Gen 6 especially. Clefable is also a huge pain in the ass. Not to mention Amoonguss and the other Regenerators. The longest Showdown game in history was in Gen 6 for a reason.

I think it's much better than 7 or 8, though, particularly because it lacks Toxapex, Heavy Duty Boots, WishPort, FuturePort, Kartana, and Z-moves.

So does Samurott, and Samurott also has Surf. Samurott is only bad against Elesa, which sucks, but none of the other boss fights threaten it. Meanwhile Emboar fucking blows against Clay, the hardest fight before the E4, and Skyla, who is basically a free win anyways.

That's simply not true. The exploration is all optional, but there are several side areas to explore, especially in B2/W2.
