Got to attend a couple during the 10th anniversary, the Orlando stop on the Pokemon Rocks America tour and the Toys R Us mew distribution. The 1st coincided with worlds and my whole family had a blast, almost bought a pokemon mini but didn't see any games I couldn't already play through Channel, won a bunch of crap from the games like toys and probably about 5 of pic related, got a promo card, and hit up the distribution area with a different game each time I passed by throughout the day to get deoxys and celebi but wound up with a few of the others as well. We basically treated it like going to the fair or Disney World, ran around checking everything out but not really interacting with other attendees much, did meet the couple that were starting up a tcg league at our local mall for the Sevi Islands season though, and got to hug the torchic costume person (I'm sure there's a proper word for this rather than corporate fursuiter but I've honestly never needed one until this moment. Oh well.) and there was one point where I was sitting on the floor in a circle with my sister and a bunch of other kids around a staff member who was asking us what our favorite pokemon was but I was a really shy kid so when she got to me I blanked and barely managed to say Jirachi simply because that was the last one I'd heard then left the group shortly after, I was so embarrassed about that I can't even remember why we sat down in the circle in the first place or what we did immediately after. The mew thing, my sister and I waited in line with our mom for about 4 hours, we went early because we didn't want to risk them running out before we got there but none of us expected our backwater town to have a line that long, we had fun hanging out with the people in line around us though, some of us brought our own link cables just incase something went wrong with the one the employee was using to trade everyone's mews over so we battled and traded some and chatted about Naruto.
