As it is a fictional world, pokemon can be whatever the story needs it to be. The stories can be little slice of life adventures that don't require battling as a method of focus or progression within it's world.
I would love a mundane world where pokemon just, do the laundry, or go for walks in the park, I mean what else to do you really need in life? Sometimes simple is best.

To look at the state of the world and merely accept it. I won't, I can't, I refuse to. My human spirit, my soul screams for more, I don't care how unfeasible or impossible it is. Even if there's only a 1 percent chance anything would change I gladly take that chance to make the world better.
I think, its necessary to defend yourself, and those you care about. But it hurts my soul to think about hurting anyone. To think that violence was really the only way to solve it. I'm in pain to see others get hurt.
