If its hands are hidden then having metal spikes right there won't make much sense (not to mention the risk of stabbing itself), but having little spikes/nails sticking out among the leaves here and there may seems like it could work. Incidentally, that's what I did for this concept attempt.
Steel headplate seems strange to me, it already has stuff on its head and it'd end up crowded + the weird hint of an armadillo nature. Steel coating on the ears is good though! The middle evo can have it mostly around the edges (sadly metal does not show well on a sketch), and then the final can have a much larger area being metallic.
I'm not sure about the steel wool thing, the pokedex mentions a sheep pokemon with steel wool and it seems like it may be awkward to have two completely different pokemon have that?
Also, I'm afraid it's turned out that final evos are far, far from my forte. This is the best I've been able to come up with... The crown I just put there because I felt it needed something on its head like its prevolutions had. Is it alright if I let someone else try the final evo?
