I'm curious about Sword and Shield, but if they're truly as god-awful as they look, I'll be sorely disappointed. I WANT to like Pokemon, but Game Freak tries their hardest to keep me from doing so. I've loved this franchise my entire life, it hurts to have yet another thing I love taken away from me. It hurts to see Sword and Shield look so mediocre, but I don't think any game can absolutely break my enjoyment as much as Sun and Moon did.
