>>44989619And with that, the E4 has been defeated and the champion dethroned!
Luckily I managed to get through with no losses, but there were a couple of very close calls. Will and Koga were pretty easy, only Koga's Muk was annoying due to Minimize, the rest got killed pretty easily. It got more dangerous as I went along. Blackjack got knocked to 8hp by Bruno's Hitmonlee's Blaze kick, which could've been a crit considering he used focus energy before. He then got stuck in a very frustrating war of attrition against Karen's double-teaming Umbreon, which drained him from most of his pp. The fight with Lance was the hardest of all though.
Clubs took down Gyarados and only just managed to survive 2 Ice Fangs and kill with 3 Petal Dances, but I needed the rest of the team to be fresh in case the Dragonite got out of hand. Chariot then took on Charizard, but had to take 2 Shadow Claws (including a crit) as he missed one Rock Blast, before one-shotting with the next. Next Napoleon took on Blizzard Dragonite. He got paralyzed by Thunder Wave but only barely couldn't one-shot Dragonite with his own Blizzard. He got paralyzed while Dragonite healed, then took both a Dragon Rush and a Hyper Beam before taking him down with Blizzard and Slam. Chariot then went up against the main Dragonite. He barely survived Outrage as Dragonite did the same with Stone Edge. I had to cheese him out with hyper potions until he got confused and hit himself, at which point I took him out with Avalanche. He then took out the next Dragonite with Stone Edge -> Avalanche, and Flush defeated Aerodactyl with Waterfall and Surf.
All in all, Blackjack and Chariot were the MVP's, Blackjack took on at least one pokémon of every E4 member and I without Chariot I would've definitely lost someone to Lance.
Next up, Kanto! (But first the Pokeathlon, to get a Dusk Stone for Misdeal.)
