>>40466505Given how Mr.Mime has such a domestic affinity in the anime, it's proximity to humans in general and it's mischievious ability to create imaginary barriers or forcefields, I'd say that that part of Gamefreak's reason to give it Fairy type is because of how reminiscient it is of a Brownie/hobgoblin/other domestic spirit.
