The fact that people feel anything other than pity and second-hand embarrasment for Kieran and actually identify with him and support his temper tantrums and school shooter behavior just shows how broken and desperate they are for approval. Even if it means objectifying what they claim to love and supporting a character who acts as selfish as Ghetsis.
