If you've ever heard of "glitzer popping" you can unlock southern island on any copy of r/s/e but birth island, naval rock and faraway island can only be unlocked on non-english european copies of emerald.
Took me at least 10 attempts on italian emerald to get the EVs right and after about 500 days of on-and-off attempts with large breaks in between, i finally got both the deoxys and mew events unlocked.
Along with the japanese colosseum celebi bonus disc, i now got a complete gen 3 dex as legit as i possibly could. Feels good to finally achieve something like this so i know the feels, op.
