>>36974089>a Machoke that's a construction worker and make a wage and has a home and buys his own food, but isn't owned by a trainer?A Pokemon with a home and a job and the ability to buy food at a store is no longer a Pokemon, but rather, a strangely-shaped human. I really don't get the impression that's what Pokemon live like in the Pokemon world.
I can see some trained Pokemon getting small menial jobs like in pic related, but probably nothing complex. And they'd probably get paid in food, because Pokemon have no concept of money. They probably wouldn't go out of their way to get a job, either, because their trainers would provide them with everything they need. But I imagine some Pokemon might join their trainers and help them with their jobs, either of their own volition or at the request of their trainers.
