I state again the movie animation is horrendous, and I certainly understand in many ways the seething over the proportions in the reveal and early part of the gen more than I let on. And of course, I also get those who simply don't enjoy the thing. But as a guy who's old enough to enjoy not just the TCG showing Pokemon in the wild, realistic pokemon, and the older fandom's forays into finding real-world examples like the Smilodon, stilt owl, or other such examples I would have imagined learning Incineroar could be plausibly modeled after a real-world cat for at least fanart - thus solving the quadruped issue - would've been latched on MUCH MUCH MORE than seeing it only occasionally posted in /vp/. Game Freak needs new blood and an eye for good designs, but the fandom's really lost its imagination or willingness to meld fantasy and reality.
