>At an imaging center to get X-rays
>God knows how many people in front of me
>Thankfully brought my 3DS with Pokemon X so i wouldn't be bored.
>A bit later a kid comes in just as I start grinding for money at the Battle Chateau
>See he's watching me play and can see the curiosity on his face
>Eventually he looks over my shoulder
>"Hey, are you playing Pokemon?"
>Look to him, nod, and offer him my 3DS
>"Yeah. Pokemon X. How about you finish this battle for me?"
>The kid's eyes light up and he eagerly takes the 3DS and finishes the battle
>He looks at my party
>"Oh! You have a lot of Legends!"
>Only have one Legendary in my party, Xerneas
>He thinks starters, psuedos, and Pokemon like Lucario are Legends
>Brush it off
>He sees the Lucario in my party
>"Cool! You have lucario! I know what he evolves from!"
>"Oh?"
>"Yeah! He evolves from Riolu!"
>I smile
>"Did you know his evolution can go even further in this game?"
>"Huh?"
>I get into a battle and Mega evolve Lucario
>Kid gets really excited
>Decide to show him the Pokemon in my PC while getting the ones that can Mega evolve
>"Wow! You have a lot of Star types too!"
>He thought Ice types were star types
>Smile and brush it off again
>Equip the appropriate stones on the appropriate Pokemon
>Let the kid get into various battles so he can Mega evolve them
>"Man, you're so lucky. I only have Pokemon Pearl."
>I ask him what his progress on it was
>He's at Fantina
>Tell him to try and get a Dark or Ghost type for her
>Play until my name is called
>Go in, get x-rays
>Come right back out and continue playing until the kid's name is called
>Say good bye to him
I thought it was gonna be a boring medical visit, but I was wrong. I'm glad I managed to brighten up that kid's day, especially since he just came from the hospital next door.
