If there's one thing that Game Freak are actually good at, it's making the third version have a lot of extra content that makes it improve greatly over the original two games. Even OR/AS wasn't as bad as people make it out to be here, the only real problem was the lack of Battle Frontier and the fact that you didn't get the national dex straight away. Seeing as Z would be set in the Kalos region (which already has a much better Pokemon diversity), the latter point is nothing to worry about.
Although we all know that the first two gen 7 games will be dogshit.
