also parasect + false swipe is nice because spore's 100% accuracy
also farfetch'd or sneasel can both have foresight and false swipe (breeding required), so they're good for catching ghost types
also honedge can learn false swipe and you probably already have one in your party because everyone and their mom does, so that's good if you're lazy
also you should catch a magikarp and give it a smoke ball if you're going to farm dittos, which you are.
