>The kid shrugged. ”Pick whatever you want.”
Grimsley swallowed. There was a nagging suspicion at the back of his head that whatever he did pick would soon be gone, anyway, be it gambled or ruined by some winner. It didn’t seem fair to pick anything expensive. The thought of having something to bet with was tempting, though. Grimsley shook it out of his head, about to move to the clearance section, when the kid moved first, holding up a grey-striped shirt.
”These are your colours, right?” He smiled. Yes, they were exactly Grimsley’s colours. And the price tag read ’300,00 Pokedollars’. No way was this going to last a week. Heck, it could buy him gambling money for a week, providing he could keep clear of team skull.
Well, it wasn’t like the kid would be coming back, right? A lot of Ace Trainers passed Alola for some reason or other, stayed a week, and left. Grimsley wasn’t going to be on his mind for long. A few days, tops, if even that.
Grimsley allowed the kid to buy him the shirt and a pair of jet-black trousers, while alluding to the fact that really, he did have a wardrobe (Half true: It just happened to be back in Unova). The kid smirked in his usual cocky manner. ”And where we’re going, you’ll need a whole new one. One that’s in season.”
”And where is that?”
The kid grinned. He glanced towards the sign pointing in the direction of ’Sushi High Roller - Two blocks away’ and winked.
Grimsley’s face turned a whiter shade of pale.
