SwSh is dogshit garbage only somewhat enjoyable in the DLC ($$$) which also features Dynamax Adventures for shiny hunters of legends. And Keldeo.
SV is somewhat better (especially in the base game whereas Galar is the worst shit of all time) but hilariously broken and devoid of postgame content or any soul.
BDSP is just fucking DP (not Plat)
LGPE looks good at least and has megas, but it's the same dogshit Kanto with the most annoying catching mechanic to date. And no Safari zone or Sevii Islands.
There are bonuses for having savefiles of various games, like Mew and Jirachi in BDSP and Shaymin and Darkrai in Legends. Doesn't make them worth it, so if you have a friend with cartridges, borrow them for a short while to snag the mythicals and be on your merry way

Some tasks grant double progress towards completion, I don't know how much of a retard you'd need to be to have a legitimate issue with the feature.
