Maybe a few hundred years ago there were a bunch of Quetz. They taught the ancestors how to build advanced technologies (for their time) and stuff. But at one point they all met up in that spot and died / turned to stone mysteriously, possibly to keep humans from becoming too advanced / got too greedy or some shiz. Now team XYZ is trying to bring one back to life for plot purposes.
