I am a complete noob when it comes to competitive battling. I understand the tactics involved, I know how EV/IV spreads work, and I know a lot of theory behind how to play competitively. I just cannot figure out how to make a coherent team in any fashion - I've done a few trials with 6 random mons from the OU list and I tend to get destroyed by my opponent's lead, or else whatever their sweeper of choice is once their lead lays a zillion entry hazards.
I want to get better, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. How do I git gud?
