So earlier today I made a thread poking fun at the game for throwing me the best damn Chewtle I've ever seen when I picked Sobble as my starter. Well, I decided to use them both but mostly focus on the Chewtle, and he rampaged through the first parts of the game. Eventually he evolved into a Drednaw, got even stronger, and I found another marked pokemon to pair him with (a Rolycoly).
Om the Kindhearted allowed me to capture and train the rest of my team, and was always able to take a hit for them when they started getting in danger. He was a gentle fellow, and thanks to him the rest of my team was able to grow much stronger in time for the next gym.
We lacked a grass type, and our Toxel was still too weak to perform well in battle, so Om was able to defeat most of the gym by himself and was healed up before the last bout. There, he battled Nessa and defeated her Goldeen and Arrokuda while taking minimal damage, only to be faced with another Drednaw.
All that was left were two Drednaws, of the same level, with equal strength and power, fighting in the Gym. And the other Drednaw did surprisingly little damage, despite the max moves. But as Om was about to deal the last blow, suddenly I was outsped: it seems we were speed tied.
And Om was hit with a torrent of water with such great force as to blow a hole through his chest, and send him crashing down. As my Drizzile avenged him by finishing off the now-weakened Drednaw, Om gave me his Shell Bell, so that I could remember him. Then, he passed away.
He was indeed Kindhearted, and were it not for him, the rest of my team would be weak and underleveled. But he was too Kind for his own good. I don't have the heart to release him, so I've placed him in my PC box. Rest in Peace, Om.
Sorry for the autism but I just had to write something out. I'm gonna miss using him.
