Meanwhile XY Ash is surprisingly competent so it's also not at all strange for him to have a fangirl, sidekick and loli following him around. I watched BW mostly for delicious Iris, now I'm actually watching XY for Ash because I feel like he can accomplish something for a change (and even if he doesn't I won't be disappointed because he's putting some serious effort into it this time).
