It's not that I dislike stories in JRPGs. But it's Pokémon. It's mediocre. Yes it's still "leagues better than what the previous games did" but it's still MEDIOCRE.
And once you have experienced the story once, it loses its punch and you now have a mediocre game with a mediocre story and little replayability.
If they want to make story games now, then they should do a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2-like game and focus on it, instead of this weird mix where we get the worst of both worlds
