I answered truthfully that his name was "???" because the name entry thing lets you pick question marks for some reason. My sister gave him an actual name, I don't remember what, and I told her that the police are never going to catch him if they don't have the right name.
(Was 9 years old, sister was 11 or 12; Gold was my first game so it didn't occur to me that "it's like picking the name for your rival in the last one" since I hadn't played R/B/Y)
