>>34199297>Anon, please, all an unrestricted dex does is allows GF to pander to the other gens.lmao, it's pandering to other gens because you get to use some old pokemon?
that's not how it works sweetie. having routes having more than 3 fucking pokemon on each of them is far better than the alternative. if i want to use an old pokemon on my team, why is that triggering you?
your way gives no choice, and as such is inferior. if you want to use only new pokemon, then use only new pokemon.
the series has amassed over 800 pokemon now, i don't want to be pigeonholed into using 100ish i f i don't want too.
i'm at the end of a mono normal playthrough now in UM and i've used nothing but alola mons. seeing more variety as i've been running around has not ruined the game for me in the slightest, it's made it better. it's why X&Y is so good to nuzlocke, your teams aren't the same shit time and time again compared to something like b&w, which every time you nuzlocke your team will look incredibly similar because there's no variety.
>Megas, was mostly focused on gen Inot seeing the issue here. the gen that megas were introduced in had the least need for them for its own pokemon. the only issue is they never kept making new megas focusing on newer gens with each new game.
>It has culminated in gen VII where it can be harder to find Alola mons than those of other regions.can't say i agree with that. the rarer pokemon are usually from other gens, with the exception of things like drampa.
>The newest Pokemon absolutely must be the main focus of the region, because they are part of what gives the region its identity.and they are. the inclusion of other pokemon from different regions doesn't take away from that.
>We might disagree on whether gen V and its dex was able to successfully do this, but it at least tried, which is more than can be said for Kalos and Alola.tried and failed thankfully. being stuck with gen 5 mons only showed just how bad having such a system is.
