Dusk was yet another Champion hopeful and had been one of many that took part in the League Challenge. His friend Dawn held a greater interest in travel to clear her mind, and thus the two parted amicably and vowed to keep in touch. Dusk's absurd talent for battle had only been matched by his playful arrogance and wit; neither of which, however, did him much in the way of favors nor earned him many friends. Months into the challenge, though, his uncle mysteriously and quietly passed away. His late uncle had left behind a gurdurr named Gideon in hopes that Dusk could lead his pokemon to victory since he'd nolonger been able. Curiously a second ball had been in the package that no one could have explained. Since then Dusk's enthusiasm seemed to wane in time as he grew fatigued. He combated this by taking greater and greater risks and far more dangerous scenarios (Including but not limited to: instigating fights with local gang activity, breaking into the dangerous wild areas, and Road Battles).
