>>41712019>Inteleon, Centiskorch, Flapple, Sirfetch'd, Polteageist, Hatterene>as well as Ninetales, Roserade, Barraskewda, Grimmsnarl, Excadrill, and HelioliskI'm playing under some restrictions, namely rotating two teams and switching teams after each Gym, no Dynamaxing, no items in battle
It's been very challenging and a bit brutal at times, since I completely underestimated steep the level curve would be by doing this, but this has also forced me to truly strategize for the Gym Leaders
The first team's a little more straight forward, just buff and go (Centiskorch's Coil, Sirfetch'd Focus Energy then Swords Dance, and so on), while the second team has all sorts of status moves and statuses to work with (especially with Grimmsnarl's Prankster), and is usually weather focused
For instance, Ninetales needed a Sun boost on top of Nasty Plot to incinerate Bea's Machamp in a single hit
And of course, against Raihan it was just a weather war, with me usually favoring Heliolisk's Rain Dance to counteract whatever comes, or having Excadrill come in for its Sand Force to take advantage of the Sandstorm Raihan's set up
I can honestly say this is the most fun I've had in a Pokemon game since B2W2's Challenge Mode, even if it's all self imposed here, I'm having a blast
