Right, I think people are taking for granted that you don't have to fight Winona until the end of the game if you so choose. Her badge allows you to use Fly outside of battle, but there's no obstacle that HM clears away, and, as far as I know, no special sequence or door in the game that says
>You may not enter without 7 badges
Except for the checkpoints at the Pokemon League. You have to fight her to fight the Elite Four and enter the Hall of Fame, but that's it.
Now what this means is, I could technically keep going until everything else is done and Blaziken is super swole. But I don't want to do that because I think it's pretty asinine. However, I did go all the way to Lilycove. I even still have a few trainers to fight (the ones after the Safari Zone, I skipped) including May. Should I just knock them out when I go back, or should I skip them?
