Back in the Gold/Silver days, me and my friends used to trade and battle Pokemon at school during our lunch breaks, and I used to keep my Gameboy in my pocket.
So naturally being the nerd that I was, one of the soccerfags (as opposed to the football jocks, who were actually cool people and would never do such a thing) decided it'd be funny to carry around a homemade electromagnet in his pocket and purposefully sit next to me at assembly, so he could scramble my data without me knowing.
This was about a week after the Celebi giveaway, too. So, I never got another Celebi until Diamond and Pearl, when I traded for one from that Journey Across America event they had. I'm from Australia, so we never got a Celebi event of our own until I thing Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
