>>19354932I agree that such far-going retcon of this character would bring nothing, but keep in mind that Galladefags keep bringing this 'solution' up just because they want their favourite pokemon to receive some love from GF devs as well and 'Wally option' simply felt as a nice occasion for Mega Gallade debiut.
Why only "Wally option" gets brought up? Because noone offers an alternative for a catchy Gallade spotlight moment - everytime trapdevoir support encounters such speculation, all they are willing to share as a solution is "GF needs to retcon Gallade out of existence".
