>>26850313Yeah, but anime styles have changed consistently since at least the 70s. I guess it's not a big wonder that Sugimori changed his style as well. It's like a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of thing. People like us miss his new style and are sad that it changed. But if it didn't change, you'd have people complaining that it looks like old school anime and that Sugimori should change his style (or that Gamefreak should get a new artist, even), to modernize the official Pokemon art.
