That being said I still prefer the concept of your pokemon breaking rocks and flying you around and stuff to just...Corraidon or Pokemon Ride. It's fine if you don't care but honestly the games lost a huge appeal when they changed that. There's a space between "Taking up slots with HM slaves or move slots" and "Not letting your pokemon interact with the outside world in any way. Despite so many advances in technology it still feels like the most fun aspects of Pokemon are just daydreaming about the cool stuff you're doing than the actual game you're playing.
