B: You never dive all that deeply in Pokemon. It's always been implied that when you dive on a Pokemon it's a really shallow depth, because you can still see the light from above AND (like you said) you don't even need protective gear. You use a breather when you dive which implies you probably only need air and not much else. The depth is the real difference here and biggest issue with your statement.
