The Pokemon Anime has always had animation and choreography that ranges from mediocre to passable compared to other Anime. XY is the best the fights have ever looked even to this day, but there's nothing beyond that. Flashy animation is not everything and most of the community knows this. Barely any strategy, no fights with real emotional value and bland characters
