i feel like i should also give a timeframe here -- this is in like the 1800s. skimmingtons and charivaris or whatever are present from at least the 1600s onward, but for some reason all the cuck related shamings i've found come from the 1800s. honestly probably just coincidence stemming from a limited historical record
