>>35473009holy shit I love it, though you could've just said the word "godfeather" and I'd have been sold.
Copying mine from other threads. We have a Komodo dragon in Kommo-o, but this was made before we knew about everyone's favorite clangy lizard, and it's not like we can't have SOME overlap.
Dragon/poison seems obvious
first evo is a speedy glass cannon, final evo is a bulky physical attacker/sweeper (based on the lizards' life cycle)
Think Komodo dragons with elements of chain mail, hypodermic needles, and thugs thrown in so they aren't just my mom's giant varanids
Varaneedle -> Coagumodo
Varaneedle: This pokemon's timid nature belies its power. A single prick from one of its needle like claws can fell an Indian elephant
Coagumodo: This brutish pokemon picks fights with anything that moves. Most pokemon give it a wide berth due to the deadly toxins in its claws.
>abilitiesVaraneedle: Run Away/Poison Point HA: Rattled
Coagumodo: Intimidate/Poison Touch HA: Merciless
>statsVaraneedle: 50/110/40/70/40/114
Coagumodo: 90/150/100/60/70/70
>(notable) movesVaraneedle: Poison Jab, Dragon Claw, Knock off, U turn, Agility, Disable, Leech Life, Crunch, elemental fangs (minus psychic fangs), Fake out, Brick Break, Needle Arm, Gastro Acid, Toxic, Needle Shot, Venom Drench
Coagumodo: Same as above, plus:
Curse, Dragon Dance, Dragon Tail, Taunt, Stomping Tantrum, Pursuit, Outrage, Superpower, Yawn, Toxic Spikes, Head Smash, Hone Claws, Parting Shot, Power trip, Gunk Shot
New moves: Needle Shot: The pokemon flings a needle-like claw at the opponent. This move always goes first (poison type quick attack)
You've got a frail speedster with some support options and a versatile fatass. I wanted to make a line where both pokemon are usable, and the way Komodo dragons go from timid arboreal bug eaters to huge apex predators seemed like the perfect opportunity to make two very different pokemon.
