Besides, keep in mind stuff in games is simplified for the sake of playability, there are lots of things that maybe they don't mention, like for example, if the father has freckles, the child can inherit these freckles too.
I would have lots of work too, like developing my own psychic potential so they don't grow up talking only with their mother as she's the only one who can develop a psychic connection with them. It would be very challenging and frustrating but it's a risk I'd be willing to take for them, and also a chance to develop myself.
Given that, I'm positive they can also learn a couple of things from human knowledge, such as basic math, reading and writing. You can play always teach them like you do with little kids, giving them some pennies so they can buy or sell you some toys. If they can naturally twist spoons with their minds why can't they learn to count with enough training?
