I finished one last run of Crystal Legacy with a team of gen 2 mons that evolve from gen 1 mons. I was raising a Politoed initially to make the early game easier.
This run probably took the longest due to how long it took to steal a Metal Coat off a Magnemite. You can buy Metal Coats in this hack but it's not until after clearing the Rocket Radio Tower and I wanted Scizor before that. I had much better luck getting a Dragon Scale off a Horsea though. In fact, I ended up finding one before catching a Horsea with the DVs I wanted.
I didn't have to level up for Red this time but it took a few attempts due to some badly timed crits. Maybe I'll come back to this hack someday but I doubt it will be anytime soon. I've had my fill.
