>>53918264>>53918254Right there's a point I wanted to make but forgot I was leading up to it since I can only post 2k characters a post and it's ruining my train of thought.
So, I believe the game tries to balance your team by an average of your impact is. I'm not sure how many games it average you over, maybe 10, maybe 100, or how long that average lasts.
So for the sake of argument and not knowing this made up variables, let's say we play 100 matches of our DPS, who we can regularly score over 20 KOs and score over 300 points etc etc. Now let's say for whatever reason we decide to play something new. Something different. Maybe a defender, maybe a support, maybe am attacker that isn't nearly as good etc. I believe the game will attempt to balance your team based on your past performance. So your team would ONLY have a 50% of winning IF you picked the DPS God carry that you normally picked but since we are now attempting to play "off meta bad defender" there is no way we can come close to having a 50% chance of winning because the algorithm is expecting you to be able to do the heavy lifting and 3v1, do 30 K0s, and score 300 points but with this new character there's no hope of that happening.
I've had many games where I play characters that are able to regularly secure over 10-20 KOs or whatever and when I play something that can't it absolutely feels as if my team is balanced as if I'm able to pull that off every match.
It's harder to see if you refuse to play meta mons or if you only play meta mons. So if you're spamming glaceon or unnerfed zacian and Urshifu every match it will be hard to notice but let's you do spam them a bunch but suddenly want to play a healer or a defender because your team needs one. Then it becomes very apparent that your team appears to be balanced as if you're able to perform as you can in average with the latest broken pokemon or some other pokemon that you just happen to do very well on.
