and they still have that amazing smell - I've kept them safe in this shoe box i painted when i was young and pokemon was all the craze. I get them out every Christmas (a nostalgic time for me for many reasons) and I marvel at them, and yeah, the smell is incredible nostalgia. There are certain cards that bring me right back to the time, shiny gyarados, poliwrath, and charmander - especially charmander.
This Christmas I'm going to purchase pokemon blue on my 2ds and enjoy a play through... It's been so long.
It was Christmas 98 or something when I got my first pokemon game, I got blue, my sister got red, my sister didn't want red so I ended up having both - and man oh man, it was incredible.
