Playing since the beta, it took me about 3-5 months probably but you have to consider the fact that back then there were less five stars to draw and max out compared to now
We started off with 5 gacha 5 stars with only one being added every other week or so
The bad thing was...well, there were only five gacha 5 stars
You'll get there eventually with some luck--since you're dolphin just make sure you always do dailies on Pokefair it's a big boost
