Rayquaza isn't actually the favourite of anyone close to me, as far as I know; hardly any of my friends and family play Pokémon and I don't know the favourites of the one that do. It does, however, remind me of a friend I knew in my teen years that would dick around with me and post in Fug threads during class. I wonder how he is.
Primeape represents the demographics of my hometown, which is actually not at all what you would immediately expect.
Metagross is cool because it actually does something unique with its typing, and I like the idea of a second pseudo family. I like Tyranitar for similar reasons.
The Wooper family introduced my favourite type combination, which also happens to be my two favourite types. More importantly, they're goddamn adorable. I wish I could be that happy all the time, especially if I didn't have arms.
