Which is a good thing, since Pokémon surprisingly has very few designs which can be classified as "generic monster", as in, something that's not really based on any real creature specifically (that's excluding "ambiguous reptilian monster" designs such as the Nidos, Tyranitar, and Toxtricity for example, as even though they're not based on a single species, reptiles are a real class of animals).
