Also, alt art, which I thought was pretty cool. So I bought a DS on amazon and looked up what games there were. I saw leafgreen and soulsilver and that's when I got back into it. I eventually got firered too, but leafgreen blew me away. Didn't like the sevii isles.
I'm 30, so I was in middle school when gold/silver came out and it wasn't acceptable to be into it anymore (and frankly, I wasn't, I played my fill). I didn't like most gen 2 pokemon. My little cousin and his friend were into it, but they were done after that.
