>>44261511>>44261511I agree but the older Pokemon gets the less people will agree because nugenners will continue to shit up everything and incorrectly assume that Pokemon is just about the video games.
>Will Pokémon return to its prime? What can they do to get there?Unfortunately no, Pokémon will never rise to its prime ever again with the direction that TPC is currently taking.
Pokémon's worldwide success was a combination of other mini-successes:
>strong marketing/advertising>a popular TV show (and movies) where localization was done right and everyone watched scheduled TV>video games that were unique for their time>perfect time period where kids still played with toys, 1st world majority is fair-skinned, no crackpot gender/sexuality politics being pushed onto kids, etc. etc.I've honestly considered making a youtube video essay about this whole subject as a passion project in hopes that maybe someone else, even if it's not TPC, will figure out the formula and make a better "Pokemon" that everyone can love.
>>44265150>>44263910>durr hurr only pokemon vidya matterst. born after 2000 and never even knew a glimpse of pokemania
This is exactly the type of stupidity I'm talking about. The majority of the fandom acknowledges that the BW anime was the worst one to date. Normies had already given up on pokemon long before then, too.
>No more Brock>the characters who replaced him and Ash's other travelling companion(s) sucked>Ash started REALLY exemplifying his bizarre stagnation as a character>episodes start feeling way too formulaic even for Pokemon's standards>still on his league losing streak, etc.Ash was developing pretty well up until Sinnoh, where he started getting pretty retarded and had his worst win/loss ratio of any season to date. People started somewhat doubting Ash because of the Hoenn league loss, but the Sinnoh league loss really put a bad taste in people's mouths.
