Look its very simple my caught and legit bred pokemon thats not perfect is not worth the same amount as a genned one for obvious reasons especially when used for battling. Money wasnt the best comparison but when you introduce something into a market thats counterfeit then you inherently reduce the value of such. Where the analogy of money falls apart is that money is homogenous meaning there is no real differentiation except for the different monetary values of the notes eg $10 note and a $20 note but between 2 $20 notes there are no differences. However with pokemon if you introduce a genned pokemon and clone it which is cheating you are crippling the value of pokemon that breeders breed and work hard for comparatively. For example agriculture where you can grow wholesome vegetables honestly vs someone that can press a button and clone a perfectly genetically modified vegetable or even more so press a button that acts like a replicator and gen a perfect vegetable.
