Pic related destroyed my faith in Game Freak. Multiplayer in Pokemon was probably the one thing that always improved with time and technology. The PSS was the peak of player communication, and Battling, Trades, etc. were the best that they had ever been. I grew up in the days of the Link Cable, so it just blew me away to see players from around the world on XY all in real time. Those games were kinda mediocre, but PvP was so good that I stuck around for months, Trading, competing, or swapping Friend Safaris.
Without that, my interest SM died pretty quickly. And the story is terrible on repeat playthroughs because of all the railroading...
